Intercontinental Club Legends - Juan Sebastián Verón

Juan Sebastián Verón (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈxwan seβasˈtjan beˈɾon]; born 9 March 1975) is an Argentine footballer who currently plays for Brandsen. Verón's career started in Estudiantes de La Plata, continued in Argentina's Boca Juniors, and included stints in several Serie A clubs (where he won the Scudetto with Lazio and with Internazionale, and a UEFA Cup with Parma), and England's Manchester United and Chelsea. In 2006, Verón returned to Estudiantes.

In 2004, he was included in the FIFA 100 centenary list of the 125 greatest living footballers, selected by Pelé as part of FIFA's centenary celebrations. Verón has both Argentine and Italian citizenship. His nickname is La Brujita [la βɾuˈxita] (English: The Little Witch), a nod to his father Juan Ramón who was known as La Bruja (English: The Witch) and was also a championship winning player with Estudiantes.

Intercontinental Club Legends - Ruud van Nistelrooy

Rutgerus Johannes Martinus "Ruud" van Nistelrooij (Dutch pronunciation: [ryt vɑn ˈnɪstəlroːi̯] ; born 1 July 1976) is a retired Dutch footballer. He is the second-highest goalscorer in Champions League history with 60 goals. He is a three-time Champions League top scorer, as well as a top scorer in three different European domestic leagues.

Van Nistelrooy began his career with Den Bosch, before moving onto Heerenveen, eventually making a name for himself at PSV Eindhoven where he won two Dutch leagues. His goalscoring record at PSV attracted attention from Manchester United; a deal was in place in the summer of 2000, but because of injury problems his move was secured a year later for a then British record fee of £19 million. His time at United was successful, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and FA Community Shield, along with winning the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year twice. Van Nistelrooy hit 150 goals in just 219 games for United, as well as being their all time European record goalscorer, but fell out of favour towards the end of his tenure. Real Madrid then secured his services in 2006. Although an injury blighted the end of his days with Madrid, he did win La Liga twice and the Supercopa de España before signing for Hamburg during the January transfer window in 2010. After a season-and-a-half with Hamburg, he moved back to Spain with Málaga in the summer of 2011. His retirement from football was announced on 14 May 2012.

Intercontinental Club Legends - Louis Saha

Louis Laurent Saha (born 8 August 1978) is a French footballer who is currently playing for Sunderland. Saha has been capped 25 times for the French national team and scored four goals. A former scholar at the Clairefontaine football academy, he started his career at Metz before playing on loan at Newcastle United. Before the start of the 2000–01 season, Saha moved to Fulham where he established himself as first-choice striker, helping them to gain promotion to the Premier League in his first season with them.

His performances gained attraction from Manchester United, who eventually secured his signing for around £12.4 million midway through the 2003–04 season. Injuries plagued his Old Trafford career, however he did enjoy success with twice winning the Premier League, the 2007–08 UEFA Champions League and also scored six times en route to victory in the League Cup, including one goal in the final. Despite Saha's injury woes, United stars Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand have stated that they believe Saha to be the best striker either have ever played with or against.

After four and a half years at United, Everton took him to Goodison Park, where he opened the scoring in the 2009 FA Cup Final after 25 seconds, setting the record for the fastest goal scored in FA Cup Final history. He moved to Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer in the 2012 January transfer window. Saha made his France debut in 2004 in a 2–0 victory over Belgium. He represented France at UEFA Euro 2004 and the 2006 FIFA World Cup, at which they reached the final.

Intercontinental Club Legends - Christian Panucci

Christian Panucci (Italian pronunciation: [ˈkristjan paˈnuttʃi]; born 12 April 1973) is a retired Italian footballer who currently works as an assistant coach for the Russian national team under Fabio Capello. He was a member of the Italian national team. Panucci was a right back, but also played as a central defender.


After a great deal of travelling throughout his career, Panucci finally settled at Roma. He joined the Roman club in the 2001–02 campaign, the year after the Giallorossi won the national title. He went on to become a key player and one of the leaders of the club. In July 2002, he was signed permanently for €9.81 million.

Panucci, a reliable leader both on and off the field, has often taken the responsibility to speak for the team in moments of difficulty, as seen after Roma's shock elimination from the Champions League in 2007. In January 2009, Panucci was dropped from Roma's first team squad after refusing to sit on the bench for a league match against Napoli and was later also excluded from the Champions League squad list. He then announced his intention to leave Roma, but no serious bidder was found in the January transfer window and he ultimately stayed, returning to the first team on 28 February after he apologised to his fellow players and the club management. He was sent off in the second Derby della Capitale of the 2008-09 season after a heated on-pitch clash with Lazio player Stephan Lichtsteiner following his hard challenge on the Swiss defender. His contract with Roma ended on 30 June 2009, which he had signed in October 2005.

He played a total of 311 matches, scoring 29 goals for Roma, becoming the highest-scoring defender in the club's history.

Intercontinental Club Legends - Marco Materazzi

Marco Materazzi (Italian pronunciation: [ˈmarko mateˈrattsi], Ufficiale OMRI); (born 19 August 1973) is an Italian footballer who plays as a defender.

At the beginning of his career, Materazzi played with various Italian teams in Serie B and Serie C, and with Premier League side Everton. He spent two periods with Perugia (1995–98 and 1999–2001) and signed for Internazionale, in 2001 for €10 million. A threat in the air, he was renowned as a prolific goal-scorer for a defender as he broke the Serie A record for most goals scored by a defender in a season in the 2000–01 season. With Inter he has won a number of major honours including five Serie A titles, one Champions League, three Coppa Italia, and the Supercoppa Italiana three times. He is known for his very aggressive style of play which has led him to having more than 60 yellow cards and 25 red cards.

Intercontinental Club Legends - Ousmane Dabo

He has previously played for Rennes, Internazionale, Vicenza, Parma, Monaco, Atalanta, Lazio, Manchester City and New England Revolution. He has represented France three times at full international level. His younger brother, Moussa, is currently without a club and also plays as a midfielder.

In summer of 2003 Dabo joined Lazio, along with team-mate Luciano Zauri,. at first an co-ownership deal but raised to a total of €3.225M and €5.65M transfer fees after Lazio bought duo remain rights in June 2004. Dabo became an important and popular part of the Lazio midfield due to his organised style of play, making 79 appearances for the club.

Intercontinental Club Legends - Fabio Cannavaro

Fabio Cannavaro, Ufficiale OMRI (born 13 September 1973 in Naples) is a former Italian footballer. He is considered one of the greatest defenders of his generation and was given the name "Muro di Berlino," which means "The Berlin Wall," by Italian supporters. He spent the majority of his career in Italy. He started his career at Napoli, before spending seven years at Parma, with whom he won two Coppa Italias and the 1999 UEFA Cup. After spells at Internazionale and Juventus, Cannavaro transferred along with manager Fabio Capello from Juventus to Real Madrid, with whom he won consecutive La Liga titles in 2007 and 2008. After returning to Juventus for one season in 2009–10, he joined Al-Ahli in Dubai. He retired from professional football in 2011 due to an injury troubled season in Al-Ahli.

Cannavaro has also achieved success with the Italian national team. He was part of the Italy team that won consecutive Under-21 European Championships in 1994 and 1996. After earning his first senior cap in 1997, he eventually became captain. Cannavaro led Italy to victory in the 2006 World Cup, and in 2009 overtook Paolo Maldini as the most capped player in the country's history. He announced his retirement from international football on 25 June 2010 following Italy's failure to qualify for the knock-out stages of the 2010 World Cup, having amassed 136 caps and scored two goals for the senior national team

He won the FIFA World Player of the Year award in 2006, making him only the second defender to win the award alongside Lothar Matthäus, he is however oldest recipient. His Real Madrid profile describes him as being known for his strength, anticipation of the cross, positioning and aerial game. Cannavaro's younger brother Paolo is also a professional footballer, playing for Italian side Napoli.

Intercontinental Club Legends - Dirk Kuyt

Dirk Kuyt (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈdɪr ˈkœy̆t] ; born 22 July 1980) is a Dutch footballer who plays for Fenerbahçe as a forward.
Kuyt began his professional career with FC Utrecht in 1998 and quickly became part of their first team. He spent five years at the club and in his final season he won his first senior honour, the Dutch Cup, and was chosen as the season's Dutch Golden Shoe Winner. Following this, he left Utrecht in a €1 million transfer to Feyenoord. He became the club captain in 2005 and was a prolific goalscorer at the Rotterdam club; he was the club's top scorer for three consecutive seasons, the top goalscorer in the 2004–05 Eredivisie season, and the 2005–06 Dutch Footballer of the Year. Kuyt missed only five games over seven seasons from 1999 until 2006 and appeared in 179 consecutive matches between 2001–06, striking up a fruitful partnership with fellow Feyenoord teammate Salomon Kalou.

He left Feyenoord after three years, having scored 71 league goals in 101 appearances, and joined Premier League side Liverpool for £10 million. He made his Premier League debut late in 2006 and became part of the first team squad. He scored in his first ever UEFA Champions League final with Liverpool against AC Milan.

Kuyt scored several important goals for Liverpool elsewhere, including seven goals in the 2007–08 Champions League, including a goal in the quarter-final against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and in the semi-final against Chelsea, and two penalty kicks against Everton in the derby the same season. He scored his first hat-trick for Liverpool against Manchester United in March 2011. After coming on as a substitute, his extra time goal at Wembley for Liverpool against Cardiff City in the 2012 League Cup Final helped win the trophy for Liverpool, and was also his only trophy as a Liverpool player.

He made his international debut in 2004 and has represented the Netherlands at four major international tournaments, the 2006 and 2010 World Cup and Euro 2008 and Euro 2012

Kolo Habib Touré (born 19 March 1981) is an Ivorian footballer who plays for Manchester City and the Côte d'Ivoire national football team as a central defender. He is the elder brother of Manchester City's Yaya Touré and Makasa's Ibrahim Touré.

Touré, a practicing Muslim, lives with wife Awo, daughter Sania and son Yiassin. He is the older brother of teammate Yaya Touré and Ibrahim Touré, who currently plays for the Egypt's Makasa.

Francelino Matuzalém da Silva, commonly known as just Matuzalém (born 10 June 1980), is a Brazilian footballer who currently plays in the Italian Serie A for Lazio. He is a midfielder known for his passing and technique. His usual position is central midfielder as well as attacking midfielder and left midfielder.

Intercontinental Club Legends - Fabian Carini

Héctor Fabián Carini Hernández (born 26 December 1979 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan football goalkeeper who plays for C.A. Peñarol in the Primera División from Uruguay.


Carini played for 3 seasons in Uruguayan club Danubio F.C., before signing with Italian club Juventus F.C. in 2000, where he spent two seasons and was used mainly as a substitute goalkeeper. During the summer of 2002, he nearly completed a loan move to Arsenal F.C., but at the last minute, the move fell through due to the player's wage demands. He moved instead to Standard Liège, where he spent 2 years on loan.

In 2004, Carini left Juventus for Internazionale, when he was exchanged for Fabio Cannavaro in a transfer which was worth €10 million. Despite being the first choice goalkeeper for his country, Carini was the third choice goalkeeper for Inter. After spending the 2005-06 season on loan at Cagliari, he went back at Inter, where he became the fourth goalkeeper behind Francesco Toldo, Júlio César and Paolo Orlandoni. Carini did not see a single minute of action over the next two years. Before the 2007-08 season, he moved to newly-promoted Spanish club Murcia to compete with incumbent first-choice goalkeeper Antonio Notario. The former player of Inter and Murcia, has signed a three-year deal with the Brazilian club Atlético Mineiro, arriving on a free transfer. Atlético Mineiro rescinded the contract to Fabián Carini, for what they will have to pay a fine to him. The Uruguayan goalkeeper had contract until 2011.

After an experience at Atletico Mineiro, 31 year old goalkeeper Fabian Carini has signed a one season deal for Peñarol.

Intercontinental Club Legends - Mark Iuliano

Mark Iuliano (born 12 August 1973 in Cosenza) is a former Italian football (soccer) defender, who spent the bulk of his career with Italian powerhouse, Juventus FC, in the Italian Serie A.

After greatly impressing in his second spell with Salernitana, Iuliano caught the eye of several major scouts, most notably those of Serie A giants Juventus FC. In July 1996, Iuliano transferred to the Torino based outfit, and was a big hit right from the start, as Juve continued their Serie A and European dominance. He made his Serie A debut on 15 September 1996, 2–1 win over Cagliari Calcio. In his first season with Juventus he played in 21 league games scoring a single goal. Iuliano would become an eventual starter for the club the following season, but was hamperred by injuries in the 1999–2000 season, limiting him to just 20 appearances. Juventus had what was considered as the best defence in the world at this time, and teams strongly regretted ever going down a goal to the club, as they knew how hard it would be to score one back for themselves. Iuliano formed impressive defensive partnerships with the likes of Ciro Ferrara, Moreno Torricelli, Paolo Montero, Gianluca Pessotto, Lilian Thuram, Alessandro Birindelli, Igor Tudor, Gianluca Zambrotta, Nicola Legrottaglie, and Fabio Cannavaro during his 10 year tenure with the club. After the 2004–2005 Serie A triumph, veteran teammates Paolo Montero and Ciro Ferrara called it quits on their Juventus career. The Uruguayan opted to return to his homeland, while Iuliano remained, but in January 2005, he left for La Liga side RCD Mallorca on free transfer after having not played regularly in the first portion season. Iuliano made well over 200 total appearances for i bianconeri, scoring nearly 15 goals.

Intercontinental Club Legends - Igor Tudor

Igor Tudor (born 16 April 1978 in Split) is a Croatian former football defender. He was considered one of Croatia's best defenders in the period between the late 1990s and mid-2000s.

Tudor announced his retirement on 22 July 2008, at the mere age of 30, after the problems with his right ankle reappeared. He spent his last season playing for his youth club, Hajduk Split.

After three seasons at Hajduk Split, he was acquired by Italian giants Juventus in 1998. During his time with Juventus, he won the Croatian Player of the Year award in 2002. During his 8-year spell with the club, Tudor was in excellent form, albeit injuries, and formed impressive defensive partnerships with the likes of Paolo Montero, Mark Iuliano, Gianluca Pessotto, Lilian Thuram, Alessandro Birindelli, Nicola Legrottaglie, Gianluca Zambrotta, Jonathan Zebina, Giorgio Chiellini, and Fabio Cannavaro. During this period Juventus had one of the strongest teams in the world and Tudor contributed well, with over 150 total appearances for the club, scoring nearly 20 goals, as a center back. However, after a major injury in 2004, Tudor was loaned out to AC Siena in January 2005, after 7 seasons with Juventus. Following Calciopoli and the expiration of his loan contract with Siena, Tudor returned to Juventus, but injuries kept him off the pitch all the season. His contract expired on 30 June 2007.

Intercontinental Club Legends - Marco Delvecchio

Marco Delvecchio (Italian pronunciation: [ˈmarko delˈvɛkkjo]; sometimes erroneously spelled Del Vecchio; born April 7, 1973 in Milan, Italy) is an Italian retired footballer. He spent the most of his career at AS Roma where he is still remembered for his ease in scoring against the rivals of SS Lazio in the Derby della Capitale. Currently he collaborates with a Roman private radio as football-opinionist.

He was a versatile forward being able to play in midfield. His main attributes were his aerial ability, finishing and positioning skills. He was also a good passer and dribbler.

Alessandro Del Piero (Italian pronunciation: [alesˈsandro del ˈpjɛːro]) Ufficiale OMRI (born 9 November 1974) is an Italian World Cup-winning footballer who plays for Sydney FC in the A-League. He is third in the ranking of Italian all-time top scorers (326 goals, behind Giuseppe Meazza, 338 goals, and Silvio Piola, 364 goals). He played in Juventus F.C. for 19 years (11 years as captain) and holds the club records for goals (290) and appearances (705).

Del Piero scored in all competitions in which he participated. He was named in the FIFA 100, a list of the 125 greatest living footballers selected by Pelé as a part of FIFA's centenary celebrations. He was also voted in the list of best European players for the past 50 years in the UEFA Golden Jubilee Poll. In 2000, Del Piero was the world's best-paid football player from salary, bonuses, and advertising revenue. As of May 2012, he is in ninth place among the UEFA Champions League all-time goalscorers. Along with six awards in Italy for gentlemanly conduct, he has also won the Golden Foot award, which pertains to personality and playing ability.

He played three FIFA World Cup and four UEFA European Football Championship with the Italian national team. He is joint 4th (with Roberto Baggio) in the Italian national team top-scorer ranking, with 27 goals (behind Silvio Piola with 30 goals, Giuseppe Meazza with 33 goals and Luigi Riva with 35 goals) in 91 appearances.

Introduction - WCCF Special Link

What is special link in WCCF ? Based on my experience of playing WCCF, special link, basically, is a condition which two of the players are able to make link between them faster (than group link) from white thin link to a golden link. We can divide this special link into two categories, because there are different reasons in each categories :

1. SPECIAL LINK LEVEL 2, in this category, two players have their link because they came from the same team and or the same countries and or the same version/edition, like 0506 version or 0607 version and so on. The reason I used "and or" is because the condition didn't have to sastify all the terms in the same time. One of notable example of special link level 2 is Vialli (0203 ATLE) and Ravanelli (LE 0203), the reason is both came from the same categories, which is Legend card from 0203 version, both born in Italy and both have played for the same team, which is Juventus. The other example is Henry (all possible versions), Trezeguet (all possible versions) and Zidane (0203 ATLE). These players have played for Juventus and these players born in France, and once played in the same national team (1998 WC and 2000 Euro). The other example would be Casiraghi (0203 ATLE) and Boksic (0203 LE). Both have played for Lazio in the same time, even though they don't have the same nationality. So what's the benefit and advantage of using players that have special link level 2 ? In some cases, these players with link level 2, when we create a new team (which before match 1), if we look the partnership menu, usually there are already a link between these players (thin white line). With this condition, the advantage will be the link that will be created between these players. We don't have to call these players in competitive match or friendly match. Because these players will automatically have the thick white line without we call them in our office. In my experience, when the game reached 5 or 6 matches (both competitive and friendly matches), these players automatically will create a thick white line. To make it a golden link, friendly match is a must

2. SPECIAL LINK LEVEL 1, for this category I attached a picture as shown as below. This team is created with "All Milan Players" even though the players came from different versions. As we can see, when the team was created for the first time, this team automatically have some special links between some of the players and not a single match has been played that time. The difference with special link level 1 is there have to be some extra works to get the link between the players change from a thin white line into a thick white line until a golden link. The impact would be there have to be more friendly matches that have to be played. The end result is the picture next to it. For your information, Sheva and Kaka have special link level 1, so as Tomasson and Sheva which have special link level 1. The original writer of this post said that to get Sheva-Kaka reach golden link, he needed 3 friendly matches, which are 2 matches for white thick line and another one for golden link. To get Sheva-Tomasson reach golde link, he needed 5 friendly matches, which are 3 for white thick line and another two for golden link

 

In this Milan team above some of the players have special link level 2 which automatically build a thick white line. They are Maldini-Nesta, Gattuso-Laursen and Nesta-Tomasson. These players, actually, have some additional factors which make these players automatically built a white thick line. It's because they are on the respective group, which already explained here. Nesta is in group H while Tomasson is in group E. Gattuso is in group K while Larusen is in group L

World-Class Wing Forward (2006) - Jose Antonio Reyes

José Antonio Reyes Calderón (born 1 September 1983) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Sevilla mainly as a left winger but also as a forward.

He made his professional debuts for hometown's Sevilla at only 16, signing for England's Arsenal aged 20. After a relatively successful career abroad he returned to his country, going on to represent both main sides in Madrid, Real and Atlético, also having a short loan spell in Portugal with Benfica.

Reyes gained 21 caps for Spain, and represented the nation at the 2006 World Cup.

A request from a friend, to cover up his regular version of Reyes 0506, so I made the 0506 WWF version of the card. Hope you enjoy it also. You can print it and cover up your regular Reyes, whether just put them with the toploader/a plastic or stick it on the cover. It makes the regular card cooler, isn't it ?
